JavaScript Job: Software Engineer (m-w-d) - Full-Stack, Remote-eligible

At FreewayCamper we are focused on making the joy and freedom of nature travel easier accessible to families, couples and individuals, also with their beloved pets. We set the goal of driving the digitalization of the camping market in Europe and beyond with the help of our B2B and B2C platform.

Product & Tech team looks outside and inside. With digital products (B2C) the team aims to enable seamless customer experience from the beginning to the end. And building great digital tools (B2B) it strives to ensure scalability and profitability of the business of FreewayCamper and its partners.

Tasks

We face broad and exciting challenges, and we need our engineers to be versatile, proactive, critical thinkers, and able to solve problems independently across the full stack. With your technical expertise you will have many opportunities to express yourself and grow while designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions (backend and frontend).

Requirements

Preferred qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in professional software development including debugging, architecture, and optimization
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript and Node.js
• 2+ years of experience with cloud native and serverless development e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.
• Experience building highly available and resilient microservices
• Experience with REST API development, event-driven architectures and containerization environments (Docker)
• Understanding authentication and authorization approaches and concepts (JWT, OAuth2, RBAC, ABAC)

Helpful qualifications

• Experience with Elasticsearch, Redis, Nginx, Gitlab/Bitbucket, Swagger, TypeScript, NewRelic, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana
• Knowledge of progressive web app (PWA) development
• Experience with native mobile app development (Flutter, Swift, Kotlin)
• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular)
• Working with Kubernetes and understanding how it works inside
